Q. Which style Mattes girth do I need for my horse?
A. The girth style you need will depend upon several factors, being the shape and build of your horse; where his natural girth groove sits, and also where the girth points hang from your correctly balanced and fitted saddle. Please see the image and description "Which Girth" and the additional information in the tab next to the product description.

A. If you have a girth that currently fits, measure it from buckle end to buckle end, this will be the length you need to order.
Mattes girths should sit approx. 15cm from the edge of the saddle flap each side to make sure the elbow area is free from interference.
Q. I need cooling or Ice Boots for my horse, but which ones do I need?
A. The answer to this will depend upon your facilities, ie. do you have a freezer to keep your ice boots in, or so have have acess to bags of crushed ice?, Another question you will need to ask yourself is what are you treating?, just a small area such as a fetlock or do you want to treat the whole leg from the coronet to above the knee.
· If you have a freezer that is great, it means you can always have frozen ice boots on hand for unexpected injuries and regular day to day icing after hard work days.
· If you don't have a freezer, Cold Water boots are fantastic, just submerge them in some icy cold water and they are good to go.
· If you require full leg icing, you will need either a tall 9 pocket ice boot that you fill with crushed ice, or there is an option to use your Freezer boots and purchase an additional Knee attachment.
