Whilst the Sydney Three Day Event was a little overshadowed by the WEG selection hype and the Sydney 2000 tenth anniversary, Heath Ryan led the CCI Three Star competition from the outset to claim his second Robert Slade Memorial Trophy. Mystery Whisper, the homebred Richmeed Medallion gelding out of a Salute mare, as one would expect, won the dressage phase with 45.6 penalties
